For successful operation and registration of your PC/laptop, follow these steps:

Connecting and registering a PC/laptop

1. In your room, connect your laptop to the internet socket using a cable.
2. Turn off WiFi on your laptop.
3. Go to https://koleje.jcu.cz/ (you can access this site even without internet registration) and use the link “Student Login to ISKAM”.
4. Log in with your username WITHOUT the @ symbol and suffix!
5. You will be taken to your ISKAM account. Here, expand the “Accommodation” item in the top menu and select “Internet Request” from the dropdown menu.
6. In the next dialog, click the red button “Try to load MAC”. A group of letters and numbers should appear in the field after a while. Then click the blue button “Connection Registration”.
7. If a successful registration message appears, wait about 10 minutes and restart your laptop. After the restart, the internet should be fully functional.

Connecting and registering a router

1. In your room, connect your router to the internet socket using a cable. (You must use the WAN port on the router, sometimes marked in blue; using any other port will not work)
2. Connect to your WiFi.
3. Go to https://koleje.jcu.cz/ (you can access this site even without internet registration) and use the link “Student Login to ISKAM”.
4. Log in with your username WITHOUT the @ symbol and suffix!
5. You will be redirected to your ISKAM account. Here, expand the “Accommodation” item in the top menu and select “Internet Request” from the dropdown menu.
6. In the next dialog, click the red button “Try to load MAC”. A group of letters and numbers should appear in the field after a while. Then click the blue button “Connection Registration”.
7. After registration, wait about 10 minutes and restart the router (unplug it and plug it back in). After the restart, the internet should be fully functional.

Common problems

• If you move to another dormitory, the internet will stop working.
• If you change your PC/laptop, the internet will stop working.
• If you get a WiFi router and connect your laptop through this router, the internet will stop working; you need to register the router.
• If you have a LAN-USB adapter and change it after registration, the internet will stop working.

The USB refectory serves mainly for catering of USB students and employees. The main refectory can accommodate up to 400 diners at a time. For a quieter seating, a separate dining room next door can be used. On the ground floor of the building we offer seating for 200 people. In the building of the Faculty of Theology in Kněžská Street in the city centre there is a separate dining room with 120 seats. We have another refectory in the ZSF building on J. Borecký Street with a capacity of 110 seats. Last but not least, we would be happy to welcome you in the CAFÉ AL in the academic library building and also in the USB Café in the main refectory building.

On weekdays, breakfast, lunch, diets, pizza, snacks, fresh salads, bagels and more are served. Breakfast, lunches 1, 2, 3, 4 and diets can be ordered at least one working day in advance until 2 pm. Lunch No. 1 is available for sale (limited until sold out) and is also available by order The remaining lunches, i.e. lunches No. 2, 3, and 4 must be ordered. You will pay for them upon collection at the touch screen dispensing point or at the cash desk.

The following types of meals are available in the USB refectory - breakfast, lunch and diet. We also offer snacks, soups, bagels and various supplements. All meals can always be ordered the day before by 2 pm.

The system recognises USB students and staff and other diners. Different prices are set according to this classification. A supplementary assortment of salads, desserts, soups, etc. is prepared for all at uniform prices.

The price according to the cost of food is calculated from the actual cost and subsidies and allowances for the said food.
Prices include VAT.
Other registered boarders means boarders registered in the catering system of the USB refectories and regularly eating.
For takeaway meals and meals for other non-resident boarders, prices are negotiable.

Pizza is served from Monday to Thursday

Side dishes can be chosen (potatoes, fries, rise)
