Connection and registration of PC/NTB


1. In your room, connect your laptop to the internet socket using a cable.
2. Turn off Wi-Fi on your laptop.
3. Go to the website https://koleje.jcu.cz/ (you can access it even without internet registration) and use the link "Přihlášení studentů JU do ISKAM"

4. Log in with your username WITHOUT the at symbol and suffix!
5. You will be redirected to your ISKAM account. Here, in the top bar, expand the Accommodation item and from the expanded menu select the "Internet Request" item.

6. In the following dialog, click the red button "Attempt to load MAC". After a while, a group of letters and numbers should appear in the field. Then click the blue button "Connection Registration".

7. If a successful registration message appears, wait approximately 10 minutes and restart your laptop. After the restart, the internet should be fully functional.

Connection and registration of router


1. In your room, connect your router to the internet socket using a cable. (On the router, you must use the WAN port, sometimes marked in blue; using any other port will not work)

2. Connect to your WiFi.
3. To find and check the correct address, go to our MAC app at mac.jcu.cz (it also works even if your connection shows No Internet)

4. Go to https://koleje.jcu.cz/ (you can access it even without internet registration) and use the link “Přihlášení studentů do ISKAM”.

5. Log in with your username WITHOUT the at symbol and suffix!
6. You will be redirected to your ISKAM account. Here, in the top bar, expand the Accommodation item and from the expanded menu select the "Internet Request" item.

7. In the following dialog, click the red button "Attempt to load MAC". After a while, a group of letters and numbers should appear in the field. Then click the blue button "Connection Registration".

8. After registration, wait about 10 minutes and restart the router (unplug it and plug it back in). After the restart, the internet should be fully functional.

Internet Connection at JU Dormitories


Rules for logging into the dormitory internet network
• Be a student of JU
• Be accommodated in JU dormitories – it is necessary to have a signed accommodation contract
• Own network device including cabling (RJ45 data cable)
       o PC or NTB with network card
       o Switch, external network card
       o It is advisable not to have a router that is 10 years old or from a “no name” company; suitable routers are, for example, from TpLink, D-Link, Netis, etc…)

Common Issues

  • If you move to another dormitory, the internet will stop working
  • If you change your PC/laptop, the internet will stop working.
  • If you get a Wi-Fi router and connect your laptop through this router, the internet will stop working; you need to register the router.
  • If you have a LAN-USB adapter and change it after registration, the internet will stop working.
